But wait until we got home. This toy is so difficult to play with for a 7-year-old boy and a 49-year-old dad. He got so frustrated after only one hour playing with this piece of junk. We found this Bat Mobile on sale for almost half price at ToysRUs. My son got so excited. He wanted to return it. He never wanted to return any toy at all.
Bought this for my 5 yr old nephew, took me all day to teach him how to put it back together after launching the motorcycle. We must have re-enacted that dark night scene over a 100 times with me holding the Joker (every kid wants to be Batman). Still it was well worth the smile on his face to see him enjoying it, especially when he learn to put it back together on his own.
We even had a hard time keeping it together, and 2 pieces broke off while trying to figure out how it works.There are better toys out there that are more fun than this. This is not a well thought out toy, and they could have made it easier to use.
This time, I have no positive thing to say about this product. Usually I give fair reviews and take a lot of things into consideration, looking on the bright positive side.
We thought maybe we were putting it in wrong, the instructions didn't help at ALL, because we did what it said and still it wouldn't go. My 6 year old son got this for Christmas and it didn't work when we took it out of the box.
We tried for about 3 hours to find out why it wouldn't work, and never could figure out a reason.The problem we had is the motorcycle wouldn't even fit into the bat mobile. The only reason we bought the toy was for the "idea" that the motorcycle would fit into the car.
He enjoyed the Lego collection more.
My son is almost four and loves this toy. Unfortunately, batman doesn't come off of his cycle, but my son has separate batman action figures so this isn't a big deal. This toy is really cool. For us, its very easy to put back together. This isn't for kids who like cars; this is a toy for kids who love action figures, superheroes, and make-believe. He easily operates the cycle launch as well as the torpedo shooters. The motorcycle is great fun too.
I don't think it will take him too much longer to learn to play with it self-sufficiently. For any kid who loves superheroes, the batman stealth launcher is a necessity. My son hasn't had the toy long, but he's starting to understand how to put the toy back together. However, putting the cycle back into the batmobile requires help from me or my husband. The toy is very durable, which is important for a toy that comes basically breaks in half and then goes back together. Overall, though, this is a great toy and tons of fun for kids who love superheroes. Totally worth it, and fun for parents to play with their kids too.
The toy is easy to use if you follow this order: Push the batman/batpod in, close the top and then press in the sides. My 4 year once trained to do this, has been enjoying the toy.
